about

1992 is the debut, solo full-length album from critically acclaimed queer, disabled banjo player and songwriter Justin Hiltner.

The project was tracked in Ola Belle Reed's hometown of Lansing, North Carolina in 2020, during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. The idyllic and pastoral landscapes of the Blue Ridge Mountains in southern Appalachia informed each of the album's stunning tracks, songs written and processed through COVID - and through Hiltner's cancer journey and recovery.
